This happened to me sorta in Algebra II. I left half of my homework at home and he gave me a zero. That brought my 100 to a 99, and I then had to get a 100 exactly on the final exam to keep it at a 100, no curve on it.

Why is it necessary to get an 100? You get the grade you deserved. An 100 isn’t necessary because it looks the same as a 95 - 100 on college applications. It’s still only a 4.0

Yeah I don’t freak out over this unless your school has a percentage GPA. An A is an A and I’m usually fine with that. I’ll work harder if it’s an A- but it won’t kill me. @autoexec I like how you said “It’s still only a 4.0.” This website is super competitive. I remember seeing "Yeah this happened and now I’m only taking 4 AP’s sophomore year.

^I said that haha.
A 100 is important only for my Math and Spanish classes because those are the subjects I’m good at. I set the standard and now I have to follow through with it. In Science I always have a 100 for a while and then it shoots down drastically. In English and History…meh.

In English I am just terrible. I have to work hard in that class. My friends who aren’t as smart as me do better. I get good grades because of work. History I’m good at. I’m probably best at Math, I do great on quizzes and tests. In science it depends on the subject. I’m great with concepts like in Chemistry but I’m bad with memorization of scientific terms like in Biology.

I feel like I’m pretty good at History. It’s just my teacher this year didn’t teach us anything and gave us terribly hard tests. Maybe next year I can redeem myself.

Colleges see your transcript. So they’ll know if it was a 100 or 90.
It also probably matters for class rank (depending on how yout school does it:

Anyway, any of you guys have a teacher/teachers that you hate and he/she hates you back?

My biology teacher tried to get me excited for the first half of this semester but I’m too laid back for that. Now we just stare at each other with distaste from time to time.
And that’s why my lowest grade is in Biology right now. :D

Is everyone one this thread from the US? Any int’ls? It’s fun to read about all the things you guys do in the US since its kinda different from where I live…
