High school class of 2016

Maybe 15 is too much of an estimate? Probably more like 5, I guess, who have a chance at it. Most of my freshman class is very unmotivated, however.

My dream schools are Columbia (Psychology) or MIT/CalTech (Astronomy).

Dream school: Emory and Columbia. I’m taking Honors Geometry next year too!

Me encanta la escuela de Stanford.

My Dream Schools:

 1. UPenn [Huntsman!!!]
 2. Harvard
 3. Stanford
 4. Yale
 5. MIT
 6. Oxford

Plus a bunch more…

We just got back our Math EOCTs, I didn’t do too hot. 84…

@highschool2016 don’t feel bad. Most top kids in my AC class got 80-90… I got a 92  though it dropped my 100 down 2 points…

Seriously EOCT’s will be the death of me. All of my grades dropped 1 point or more bc of them… Looks like I have no hope of getting higher than #4 in my class lol… (I’m tied for 4th at the moment)

Lol, the math EOCTs got held for a day cause they were so bad.
I got a 91.

There was also a 17 point curve on it.

doesn’t say what he gets so no one will know

^ you take EOCTs in your state?

The new curriculum expected 54% of us to fail the exam after the curve

^nope! Haha.

Hi everyone!

My name is Andrew and I’m a Freshman (well a rising sophomore by now).

My dream school is to go to Georgetown and study financing and political science but it cost WAY to much money! So, I am going to UF for 4 years and Georgetown for the rest. I go to private school because Florida high schools are declining due to FCAT(Replace it with the EOC!). I guess EOCT is like the Florida EOC. On the Algebra I Honors (High school course) EOC in middle school I got a 5 out of 5 but Florida always dumbs down stuff. Also, I took my first AP exam, World History, today. That thing was really hard! I spent 36 hours preparing for the test, yet I think I failed! Also, Good luck for anyone taking Human Geo AP tomorrow!!

Welcome Andrew.

I found myself making the same decision of going to a private school. But anyway, I hope you did well on the AP World History exam. I’ll be taking that next year.

Does anyone else find all the teachers cramming stuff in at the end of the year?

Thanks!

no not really my teachers do it in the beginning of the year. Seniors had their last day today and some group of kids went down the halls of the gym (AP testing area) and screamed and use air horns. I was about to burst laughing(thank god i didn’t because my test would have been invalidated) but because of that i lost 5 min on my MC area which was super hard and needed every minute for that.

My teacher is picking up the pace in math. My other teachers don’t really care, since they’re either retiring (like my French teacher) or we haven’t really learned anything the entire year, so there’s no point in starting now.

My teachers are consistently good the entire year. It’s ME who’s cramming at the end of semesters to try to get my grade up…

Anyone have an AP exam tomorrow? I’m really nervous…

Welcome Andrew!

About teachers trying to cram - My world history teacher is trying to teach us about WWII and the Cold War in two days. The test is tomorrow. Good thing he gives out boatloads of extra credit so it’s okay for me to bomb it…

I took AP Microeconomics today and it’s just a meh feeling tomorrow I have APHUG I think it’s a 5, but I can’t be confident until I finish the test.
Next year I’m taking 5 APs and probably Micro’s exam again if I don’t get credit.

So at my school literally half of teachers are transfering since we got a new principal this year they hated how his system works so they are all leaving, and it’s POOP because half of half lol is are AP teachers and they’re literally the BEST teachers I’ve ever had and just want us all to succeed, I’m not really sure if I’m ready for APs without them.

Uhh everything is just changing.
