School already started for you?! I did honors Bio last year. This year I’m doing AP Bio and honors chem

Last year I took Honors Biology and Physical Science (only freshman into a class of sophomores) im taking chem and physics this year (no honors available)

Honors bio last year, honors chem this year, ap enviro sci self study this year

I go back August 26th

I took biology honors last year, and I’m taking chemistry honors next year.

@Swinter: How’s 10th grade so far?

In my school, you can take physical science CP or Honors. I was in honors(thank god) or honors bio, but its different than regular bio honors. Sophomore you can take Bio cp/honors or honors chem(only if you took bio as a freshman). I would’ve loved to have taken bio but I didn’t try in middle school and that messed up my recommendations

Yeah a 220 would be a safe score but the PSAT doesn’t count for national merit achievement till 11th grade.

Well that blows, I was responding to something on page 210 and didn’t see there was a page 212 :/

What are you guys doing for ECs? And is it weird to already have your entire future planned out at this age?

I have track and youth and government so far. I’m planning on joining some other clubs, getting a job and maybe volunteering.
I definitely don’t have my whole future planned out. Not even close… I don’t have a career, a major, a place I’d like to live, or even a college I’d like to attend.

Wow, then I’m getting way ahead of myself.

It’s alright, I’m in your boat. I have pretty much everything planned out. Except for my major I’m between bio and pathology but leaning towards pathology. I’m just worried about getting my e.c.'s

I’m going towards an aerospace degree, but my current ECs have me doing teen court, speaking 4 languages, playing piano, and possibly 2 or 3 leadership positions. Is this enough or should I do some more?

Well, I can’t speak for everyone else. Maybe they do, but I don’t. Even if you think you know what you want to be you still might change your mind once you reach college and honestly, I need more time to learn about myself and my interests before I get set on a career.

I have a probably 5 big SAT prep books and 2 college picking books and countless other books on colleges and school and choosing careers. The career books all talk about adults who poorly chose their major miserable and still wondering what they should do when they “grow up”. I don’t know what’s right for me yet and even if I thought that I’d made a decision I’m still afraid that I would be the wrong one.

Well you still have plenty of time I wouldn’t stress about it

@anonemuss
Those looks pretty good! as long ad you enjoy then and excell at them. What four languages do you know? speaking Languages isn’t really an EC.
Sorry in on my phone.

I really like math, but it isn’t exactly a career because I definitely don’t want to teach it.

Ofc English. But I also speak Chinese, French, and Italian.

But do colleges care about middle school ECs?

When is everyone planning on studying for the SAT?
