I have no idea, that’s the one thing I haven’t really thought about

No, I don’t think so.

Regarding sat, people where I live start in 6 th grade. Idk about the rest of the country though. I’ve already taken several practice ones. Scoring in the 2000 range.

Volunteering in: Canada, Every Sunday at Church in the nursery since the summer of 2011, soccer instructor for a camp, beta club, Varsity Track and Field, student council, volunteering at a summer school for preschool aged children.

Isn’t it funny to know you’re chatting and giving advice to your biggest competition?

hahaha, none of you are my competition
…cause there’s no way in hell my parents are paying heaps of money to send me to an elite school.

hahaha same here, plus I think I would get the same education at a state school vs an elite school

I’ve already screwed my GPA up too much to get into an elite school. Getting High Bs both semesters for honors Biology put my GPA out of the top 10%, even with As in everything else. So I’m destined for a bad elite college or a state school.

I’m not going Ivy League Either but I don’t want to go my state school. I’d prefer a private college maybe a public of it feels right.
I feel like everyone here says they aren’t going to an Ivy League school but then who goes? Obviously some people must fill their hallways. Maybe the ones that aren’t using college websites as procrastination tools…

@Anonemuss You still have 3 more years! Eventually other people will slip up and if you push harder you can end up back in the top 10%.
How many people do you have in your grade? I have like between100 and 150

Where I go to college is dependent on where I can get a Full Tuition or Full Ride. So I’m not all “OMG, I GOT A 2300 SAT, AM I SCREWED FOR HARVARD?? SHOULD I RETAKE??”
I also feel like a lot of people know that their scores are good, and just come here to brag.

Example/Random Person Says: “I got a 237 PSAT, is that good?”

In my head: “The percentiles are listed on the report…how did you score that high and not know how to read a score report?”

and honestly I wouldn’t want to go to an elite school. I feel like I would be very uncomfortable and I’d be so overwhelmed with work I wouldn’t get any personal time.

I only had a 3.2 GPA this year. I really screwed up 1st semester but then I turned myself around and started studying. I’m not worried about it

computer error?

I feel the same way as theatlantic. It would be really great if I could make it without paying for undergrad.

i finished with a 4.0. I think my school is pretty easy; although, if the work were harder I would step up.

Yeah sorry my phone still had it up like it didn’t send and after I hit send it again it was there twice.

In my grade? About 600 students.

Mine was a 3.8+. New school will be much more rigorous so a 3.8-4.0 will be a challenge to maintain.

I doubt that being out of the top 10% Freshmen year will hurt your chances.

For the guy who said he really liked math, but they don’t want to teach it, you should try to be a mathematician. You literally just get to do badass math problems all day every day for engineers who come up with equations but don’t have the time to solve them.
