Let us all know how your first day went, and good luck! I’m actually envious of all of you who go back tomorrow… ):

At the point where summer is somewhat bland. I wish I could start sooner–preferably in a week-- but I have a two-three weeks left.

I start in a month. :’(

No summer assignments at Townsend Harris H.S. :D

So here I am up late. Before coming here I learn that the “best” algebra 2 teacher at my school has had an affair with a recently graduated senior. His wife posted the evidence on Facebook or something and its on every social network my fellow classmates use. The girl had a really high A in his class. All of his students looked up to him and he really let them down. I don’t know what to say about this because I wouldn’t have had his class anyways, so I just thought I’d tell you guys

There have been two, almost three, teacher-student sex scandals at my school… Catch up hahaha

That’s crazy

Wow that’s a lot of sex scandals for one school. My first day was fine. The only classes that really have me worried about the workload are Chemistry and AP World. So far AP Bio has been pretty chill. The teacher, of whom I already know from last year, is trying a new teaching style different from the same old drill and kill method we have in every other class. The only homework I have is to study for 3 quizzes in Chem and get all those syllabi signed.

WOW!
Well I’m back from my first day. I’m not sure whether I’m in heaven or hell…
The teachers are nice…or at least understanding. But they expect a lot. This is a definite jump.

Teachers always have high expectations and act strict at the very beginning of the year, but like after a week you realize they were just pretending to be bad *****es haha. Or at least the teachers I have do that.

Our school is the opposite. They bring out the fangs in September. :D

at my school the teachers act like they’re really gonna crack down on the classroom routine but after a week or two it falls apart

^EXACTLY. Also with checking homework - the only teachers that actually do that in my school district are language and science teachers.

Just found out our school relaxed the cell phone policy
We start Wednesday, even though I’ve been going pretty much everyday since last Monday to school for show choir camp. Our shows’ are going to be awesome!

My school is getting iPads this year to replace text books and I’m not sure how I feel about it.
I mean my lockers really inconveniently located so that will make my backpack lighter and ill probably just need a folder and a pencil case with it. One the other had I’m not sure if ill be able to focus using and electronic to study & it is probably also going to take a negative effect on my eye sight.
Are any of yours? What do you think good or bad ?

Anyone?
10char

I used one in middle school and now at home for fun. It might take awhile for your teachers to get use to it. It’s good because you do pretty much everything on it like read, take notes, take test etc but personally I like using paper better and doing things the “normal” way for school. And yes it can be distracting for some. If I were you I would still use your notebooks and folders. You can try printing out everything you need from a computer and use your supplies to keep up with it and just do your work on paper if you can.

You must go to a private school or a rich school. Lucky

Nope public school. All the schools in the area are getting them even though the computers here are probably older than me. The catholic school I went to before this didn’t. the private school my cousin goes to that I went to in elementary school gives them laptops and stuff. It’s not a rich school we got a grant I think specifically for iPads.

^it was the same at my middle school.
