High School Class of 2017

For the CC closest to me it says you have to be 16 or older to take regular college classes, if not you have to take classes designed for children. I’m not going to be 16 until September 2015. I’m looking through their website to see what the courses designed for children are but I can’t find them.

who else wants to kill them self when they have to read a chapter of AP world??? lterally horrendous

I’m taking linear algebra this year :(( actually not that bad tho, hanging on with an A

btw am i the only one who hasnt started their hw yet???

@Calchong‌ Me! We are supposed to read Chapter 16 this weekend but I can’t focus and retain anything that I read. What textbook do you use?

@dsi411 I finished reading chapter 21 of traditions and encounters and it takes me a while because I take notes to study off of for tests and I want to kill myself half the time

@dsi411 which textbook do you use?

@Calchong‌ It’s called World Civilizations: The Global Experience. Luckily the teacher has PowerPoint notes online that we can print out but a lot of the stuff on the test isn’t in the notes so we still have to read.

@dsi411 check out <a href=“Classes – College Credit for High School Students | Oregon State Ecampus | OSU Degrees Online”>http://ecampus.oregonstate.edu/online-degrees/k12/hs/classes.htm</a></p>

@Spiral7‌ Thanks for the help! I’ll look at the website.

ANYONE HERE TAKING AP CLASSES NEXT YEAR?

@schmonstar‌
This year: AP Chem, AP Euro
Next year: APUSH, AP Psych, AP Physics, AP Calculus AB, AP Environmental Science, and maybe AP English Lang/AP World History.

@schmonstar‌

I might be taking AP Chemistry, and I’m taking AP calc next year

@schmonstar‌ Yes, and IB too. I guess I will list them now.
11th grade: AP Calc BC, AP Biology, IB SL Spanish Year 1, IB Psychology (maybe), IB HL English Year 1, IB HL History Year 1

@dsi411‌ what is IB ive only heard of AP

I took AP gov and macro this year, I’m taking AP Physics 1 over the summer and junior year I’m taking AP c

@schmonstar‌ It’s the International Baccalaureate program. It is like IB but internationally recognized and you get college credit for it and take exams just like AP. The difference is that, to get the full IB diploma, you have to do other things such as community service and an extended essay.

AP this year: APUSH & online Harvard intro to computer science
AP next year: Calc BC, World History, Chemistry, English Lang, Physics C

Next year, I’m taking AP Lang, APUSH and APES.

What are your EC so far?
