@dsi411 I use the same textbook for WHAP! Except I can’t bring myself to actually outline the chapters but my teacher uploads “stern summaries” of the chapters so I’m not completely lost.

@schmonstar I think I’m taking AP Lang and APUSH. My school doesn’t offer that many AP courses since it’s an early college school. So my math and science courses will be dual-credit.

I’m not doing any important ECs. I’m only in three clubs (garden club, readers club, math club) and I don’t do anything else. I don’t know how some people can have so many ECs because I barely have time to do my homework every day.

I’m taking AP Chem, AP Physics 1, and AP Calc B/C next year, with Honors English (which is basically Lang except my school doesn’t offer Lang).

I do MUN (which I love so much), I run a literary magazine at the middle school, I do Colorguard, and I’m trying out for Science Bowl. I also do Relay for Life every year (although I’m just a team member–I don’t run a team), and I teach elementary school kids stuff they need to know for Math Olympiad and Science Bowl…

Sometimes I wonder how I have so much free time.

@livelaugh7 I’m REALLY over-involved at school, sometimes I feel like I live there.
@topaz1116 What is MUN like? My school just started a club for it and I was debating whether or not I should join.

My ECs

Yearbook
History Honor Society
Key Club
Orchestra
Badminton Club
Ping Pong Club
Extreme Couponing Club
Asian Culture Club
Black Student Alliance
SCA
Spanish Honor Society
Spanish Culture Club
and I Volunteer at the Food Bank occasionally.

Wow nice AP’s guys. I am in 10th grade and am in 3 honors idk if i want to do APUSH and Lang those are my choices but i have an A- in english and an A in social studies (both honors). I dont know if I should take them or not i really don’t want to take it then do really bad so im not sure just yet

Oh yeah, I was going to do NHD, so that’s History Club… And I am involved in a few other clubs, but not really that involved. I mainly spend my time at Science Bowl meetings.

@violinvirtuoso3 MUN is an amazing thing… I love it so much. If you like politics at all, it’s probably one of the best experiences you’ll have.

@topaz1116 I had to do NHD for history in 9th grade. It was a thing for the advanced/honors class and you had to do it for a big project grade. It was SO ANNOYING but our group got a 90% and others didn’t do as well so it was alright in the end haha

CURRENTLY SCREAMING BECAUSE I FORGOT MY AP HUMAN GEO TEXTBOOK AT SCHOOL AND I HAVE A TEST TOMORROW!!! on a side note i found this awesome powerpoint online so i’m HOPING I still get a good grade :

I was thinking about taking 5 APs next year because freshman year I was not allowed, and sophomore year I’m taking the max (2) although I may be taking APmacro on the side semester 2 to boost my gpa. I think I will do AP Physics1, AP English LANG, APUSH, AP Spanish LANG, and an AP Elective idk what yet maybe Psych, Art History, Stats, Environmental

@schmonstar I did NHD in eighth grade for a class (but it was a class you signed up for, so I wanted to do it) and I’m doing it again this year. Last year’s topic was dumb as a general thing.

@Calchong Have fun with all those APs… Hahaha no. Three is enough for me (plus an honors course and Journalism, and a seventh period). Technically, the only “easy” course on my schedule next year will be CP USH. And technically Marching Band, but it takes up so much time that the A sort of takes work.

@topaz1116 Oh yea there is an NHD club at my high school and I know a few kids who are doing that. And yes the topic wasn’t that great last year i thought

LMAO I forgot, I’m in Vice President of my debate club

lol at how tired I am

@violinvirtuoso3 Are you really that invested in all of them? WOW

Theses are my abandoned EC

Basketball Team
— my asthma stops me from playing this year
Cross Country Team
— asthma again
SADD
— boring as hell
Red Cross Club
— nothing is ever done
Student Council
— boring and I have no interest whatsoever
Steering Committee
— a more boring Student Council

Regarding my APs, I’m taking one this year (maximum possible) and an online Harvard course. Junior and senior year, I plan on taking five each and a bunch of online courses (like linear algebra) OR I will go to that high school where I will attend college senior year.

@topaz1116 @schmonstar I did NHD in 8th grade (and failed utterly). I wrote an essay about the Great Depression but didn’t know what a “primary source” was at the time, so I got a pretty “Participation Certificate” at the Regional competition.
