<p>There are other programs out there for talented kids, ScienceKid that are legit, just not that one. Go on over to the summer programs forum on CC and you’ll see there are a ton for every kind of interest.</p>

Don’t stress out about it too much! Like CE527M said, there are plenty of opportunities that are just waiting for a kid like you to apply to! Sorry it didn’t work out as planned, but good thing you figured this all out early!
Yeah, it seems like a pretty big thing within the school, and I’m so excited to be apart of it! I was also looking into the japanese exchange program, where I would go to Japan for 2 weeks, and a japanese student would come here, it seemed really interested and I’m going to look into it a bit more </p>
<p>Also, this is just a general question here, but when I’m done writing my little paragraph thing for my reasons to give me a ticket to We Day and what I can contribute to the group, would anyone read it over? I don’t know, I’d feel better if someone read it all over and made sure it didn’t sound bad or is poorly written. I’m writing most of it tonight, and the rest tomorrow because it’s due Friday.</p>

I’m sure you can get into some other great summer programs. Try Duke TIP, Johns Hopkins CTY, or even Stanford EPGY (I’m from the OHS!).</p>

<p>I too was invited to the CTY Grand Ceremony that sg12909 was talking about, but I’m kind of iffy about paying 500 dollars for a round trip flight just for the ceremony… :P</p>

-AP Gov online assignment (will take several hours; due 11:59 PM on Sunday)
-Bio Honors article summaries (my articles are like 20 pages long; due on Wednesday)
-Study for AP Gov test (Monday)
-Bio Honors Lab Report (won’t take that long)
-Study for Ecology test (Tuesday)</p>

<p>I’ve got practice at 6 AM tomorrow <em>groan</em> my week isn’t over until Saturday afternoon.
And a narrative essay for Lang/comp + a chem problem set + two calc problem sets due Monday, vocab assignment + chem lab Wednesday, and a topic proposal by Friday. You’re not alone, if that’s any consolation.</p>

<p>How do you like your teachers? My English teacher sucks, but Chem is really nice. Everyone including me hates the computer teacher, and the rest are meh-ish.</p>
<p>I have met teachers during the orientation and when I was being interviewed. I’m pretty close with one of them & she’s the humanities teacher. The others are just really nice and outgoing. I’m starting soon and I already feel asif I know everyone. It’s an awesome feeling to have :D</p>

<p>My scores were qualifying for the Ceremony, but I didn’t submit them to Talent Search last year and it’s only up to 8th grade, so yeah, that kind of messed things up.</p>
<p>My school year ends June 26.
I’m really thinking about my courses… Humanities will it be more general topic only relating to American customs and religion, etc…? It’s about human culture… I’m not sure, but it seems interesting.</p>
