Wow… I don’t have any grades put into my grading website yet, but I have a good feeling I’ll reach my goal. I think it’s crazy… I’m just a little worried about Spanish 2 ( The listening part because the teacher talks to us in Spanish pretty fast) but I catch what she’s saying now and then. Otherwise I hope you can pull through.

@Sciencekid thx dude. Only reason I’m not doing well in Algebra II is because I didn’t time myself on the first quiz. On every other quiz/test I’ve finished in less than half the time, so there’s no problem anymore (at least I hope).

I’m seriously worried about AP Gov. I only missed 4 questions, yet I landed a B on the first test. I probably can’t miss more than 2 questions on most of the tests in order to maintain an A (93+). Crap.

Well, let’s just hope I’m good at FRQs. When we take AP Gov tests, the teacher grades the MC section and the FRQ section separately.

Spanish definitely is a hard language. You have masculine/feminine words, conjugation, blah blah blah…Chinese grammar is a lot like English grammar, and there’s no masculine/feminine words, no singular/plural nouns, no conjugation, and no particles. But there are a lot of characters to memorize, so it’s harder to write. Luckily I already know Japanese, so I do pretty well in that class.

oh my god you are taking ap in 9th grade?! KILLER good luck. I am going to start getting grades soon but not now. my schedule is gym, latin II, engineering, honors english I, honors america & gov, honors physics, honors pre ap calculus (precalculus)

sciencekid me and you just started school at the same time so there’s no time like the present to relax :)

@Bing
I see where you’re coming from, but it’s my conviction that drives me to study everyday, without hesitation and without stress. I know… I’m crazy.

@Yakisoba
No problem And I know just what you mean about math. Despite that I’m taking Algebra 1, the homework was so time consuming I thought I was gonna die (lol).
And DAMN! Your grading scale is almost as tough as mine! An “-A” is a 90-94, an “A” is a 95-100. Ridiculous, but very possible. And the thing about AP Gov… I could never understand because you’re in such a high class but I guess devotion also plays a part in getting a good grade, even if you don’t like it XD (Look who’s talking) lol

^ Nice, I could say the same thing to you: you’re taking pre-calculus? You should be in at least Calculus II when you graduate. I’m doing Algebra II right now, 10th grade pre-calculus, 11th grade AP Calc BC, and 12th grade AP Stats (decided not to do college calc but I may change my mind).

@Sciencekid I just went by College Board’s GPA scale. My school doesn’t do GPA on a 4.0 scale. I think my report card shows grades rounded to the nearest whole number.

@Yakisoba
Same for me. I get the numerical equivalent instead of the 4.0 converted scale version (thank goodness lol), but my teacher said that on our report cards it’s shows our numerical grade, and also indicates what letter grade it is.

I know… But I know I will I believe in myself, and I know that if I put in the work, it’ll definitely happen. I’m still made because in 8th grade I got a 95+ in every class except for science (because I get cocky on the quizzes and I end up getting the easy questions wrong… Lol) and had a 96.63 GPA. Lol, I was still kinda mad about the science grade.

My grades right now:
Calculus honors: 82 (thanks to a horrid quiz)
AP Lang: 94
AP HUG: 102
APChinese: 96 and it’s probably gonna go down when we do a quiz
AP Chem: 95
Computers: 80 lololol my lowest grade

Psyche, ASDFJKFSTY!!! What kind of fricken grading scale is that?! Oh my damn! Though you’re exceeding those expectations. Your average is a 91.5…

You guys are all doing really great seeing as we’ve all just been thrown into high school, and the course loads look far more intense! Also, having an average anywhere in the 90s is great, don’t stress about how you got a 95 instead of a 96. Take a deep breath and try to calm down a little. that’s my little piece of advice there!

My school hasn’t actually handed us back any grades, probably cause we haven’t taken any tests…haha. I just finished my first full week of school!!! So far it’s not bad at all, but I’m scared about what it will turn into…

An 89.5 as an A??? My scale is 90-94 is an A- and 95+ is an A

Not cool.

I’ve taken a few tests by now, it’s all good. Alg2 is easy. English is easy. Aphug is eh (It’s a lot of busy work). Science is so easy. Deca is easy. Bottom line: I wish my school had honors classes.

@iloveyoutoo
Thank you. And they we’re in the same boat because I just finished my first week of school too, and none of my grades were entered probably because it was the first week.

@Elaina
You have the same grading scale as me… That’s crazy. But my school only has two honors classes and you already get to take Algebra 2 & AP Human Geo, Lol, you have a pretty good start :)

Yup! it’s going to be my second week of school so hopefully I’ll start to see my progress in every class. I have handed in at least one assignment in every class so yeah. I’m kind of excited XD
