High School Class of 2017

7.5/10; the two APs shouldn’t be that hard.

9/10. (Re)Rate me?

AP Psych (online)
AP Euro
AP World
English II Hon
Phys Science Hon
Latin II
IB Math SL

No ratings from me, but I’ll say AP Physics 1 = Honors Physics, but with AP Physics 1, you get $$$$ in terms of college credit.

@Apollo11 It’s Physical Science, sorry. One semester of chemistry and one of physics.

@folkiestcat:

IMO AP Physics 1 would be equally difficult, but with more reward.

If nothing else, it lets you brag on CC to freshmen who have no idea who you are/don’t care at all.

True, I guess. Too bad it’s a required class for the pre-IB program at my school.

Can you test out?

No, my GC insists on it.

@folkiestcat‌

GC no equal Correct

I’ve been a lurker for a couple months now, but I finally decided to join! My freshman year just ended yesterday and overall it was good. I go to a competitive STEM school in my county that has separate, more advanced graduation requirements compared to the other high schools. Can someone rate my Freshman schedule and my Sophomore schedule? :)>-

Freshman Year-
AP Human Geography
French II
Band (I’m a pretty decent flute player)
Honors/Advanced Literature
Science Olympiad (It is an Elective class)
AP Environmental Science (Required)
Math II (The school required me to take Math I over the summer, since I wasn’t able to take it during 8th grade)
Research I (Special course offered at my school, we get to create any research project we want. We learn the basics of undergraduate research in 1st semester and start planning our project (to be executed during sophomore year) during 2nd semester. We are required to take it for 3 years)

Summer 2014-
PE & Health (online) (Grad. Requirements) (I wanted to do it over the summer just to clear up some space on my schedule in junior and senior year)

Sophomore Year-
AP World History
Honors/Advanced Language (No AP English’s until 11th at my school)
Band
AP Bio
Biology(This is a double-block class)
Research II (This year we are actually doing our selected projects from last year and competing in science fair with them)
Math III
French III

As long as it is reasonably high level, you’ll get all the benefit from a rigorous schedule. After that, you find yourself exchanging extremely diminishing returns to your college chances in exchange of personal happiness.

Rate me?

10th grade
AP Biology
AP Lang & Comp
AP Calc AB
AP Comp Gov
Italian III
Aquarium Science
an advanced “fun” math class, basically puts me on the schools math team

This year I took
AP Chem
APUSH
American Lit.
Pre-Calc
Italian II
Marine Biology

I would one day like to get into an ivy league school, specifically Yale. My current weighted GPA is 4.17 (I’m not sure UW) and i have many extra circulars.

Oh great, another @TeamRocketGrunt‌.

Tearz everywhere.

Ooh, I found the freshman thread! Hello fellow cellar-dwellers.

AlgIITrig as an eighth grader last year wasn’t fun, I can tell you that.

@mrnephew‌ i love your icon

Thanks  Funny thing is, when you search mrnephew in the images of google, this pops up. gasp

Hi people! I’m new here, but I’ve been using CC as a resource for quite a while now :)

Hello, and welcome to the forums.

Hi

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you take APs online?
