@BucketsUCSC Notes and papers both have to be in a binder so I use loose leaf paper for notes. She collects notes randomly and I don’t have the heart to rip out notes from a notebook.
oh lol @sewin2music because i was wondering how do u only use a notebook for a class
Is anyone as scared as I am about taking the new PSAT? I really want to qualify for NMS next year.
@Hamlon I’m not as scared as I am annoyed that I am taking the old SAT two weeks before the new PSAT.
Good luck for next year
@Hamlon I’m just going with the flow and studying what I can. Stressing will just make me do worse…
How is everyone doing with their AP’s. AP comp sci for me (self-study) is going great and it is soooo much fun!!!
I’m in AP World History this year and it’s alright
when is the new PSAT
Mid October @BucketsUCSC
Honestly I’m not even studying for the PSAT I’m just going to pray for the best and then retake it junior year.
AP wise, I’m exhausted. We’ve only had two days of school and APUSH and AP Bio are stressing me out like crazy. I have tests in both of them tomorrow (the AP Bio one is covering 8 chapters worth of material)! What stinks is its one right after the other
Is 4 Honors classes and 1 AP okay?
@cxprus I think it depends on the class, but it sounds goo.
@mamaba WOW!!! I can’t even imagine. I love self-studying because I skip all the “bs” and just get straight to the point and take practice tests every now and then.
@apple1893: Here’s a rundown:
Honors Geometry
Honors English 10
AP Spanish Language
Honors Biology
Speech (thematic - law elective)
Honors World History
Physical Education 2
Leadership (elective like ASB)
@cxprus why u keep asking we had like a big ass debate on this bout a week ago
@cxprus I think it would be even better if you took Geometry and Algebra 2 at the same time. That way to can get to Calculus.
@bucketUCSC I just checked my transcripts and I’m glad the prep courses I took over the summer weren’t on there so I met with my academic advisor for a program i was in and it said that so it makes sense now.
@apple1893 I met with my academic advisor for a college-readiness program and he told me a similar thing, I heard this weird combo (worst case scenario) taking AP Bio and Chemistry at the same time but he told me it was a recipe for disaster, which meant it would affect my GPA significantly. I already started school 4 weeks ago and the counselors are already stress enough with the schedule changes. So with the program I am in, I have the opportunity to take Algebra 2 for credit (over the summer) if I end up passing Geometry with an A or B (pref. A) but B can work out. So I don’t want to stress my schedule 20x more.
@cxprus cool! Your lucky doe. My school doesn’t let me take classes at a CC. :-q. I have to find a loophole
smart @cxprus i am doing something similar so I can take Calc AB junior year
and @apple1893 just take an online class and if not doesnt your school have a local summerschool like we do
The only thing that sucks is that my school doesn’t offer AP World though, I heard we can’t get it because of the IB Diploma Programme which I’m skeptical if it’s worth doing though.
So I just stick to what I have. The thing is BC at my school is a zero period this year because not a lot of people signed up for the class.
The con of IB is that you have to take the course and you can’t do AP. But at the end, I’ll stick to AP because it’s technically the same.
