Omg same. I’ve never had a C before and I’m freaking out!!!
Ahh!! I hope we all bring our grades up to As soon!!! Good luck to you all
@aspiringgirl I had a C in Hon. Pre-Calc for a semester last year. I NEVER want to have a C again.
@aspiringgirl Don’t worry… That C will be gone before you know it! You seem like you can get rid of it ASAP!!! Good luck
Last year in AP Bio I got a 87% first semester. Second semester I got an A
@Phantomlink I’m currently 2 out of 410.
For everyone: Good luck with your grades! You all can do it!
@wonderfulreads Wow, congrats!
That’s amazing, @wonderfulreads!!! One thing about good grades is that you need to have a good attitude and confidence regarding them. If you think that you can have good grades and have the attitude and confidence about them, good grades will happen.
64/70 on unit 1 and 2 test for WHAP still have an A YEAHHHHHHHHHHH
Yay!!! @BucketsUCSC
Ugh I only have one week left till the end of the quarter for us, but since school has been closed for a week, I’m praying they are going to push it back. I have a 88% in AP Physics I and am totally freaking out. I didn’t do so well on the first test because I’ve had to adjust a little to the class, but I got a 95% on my last quiz. Ugh but that test is killing me because it’s 50% of my grade right now.
I really want to check my class rank, but then again if it’s not so good I will freak out yet again, and I’m not sure I want to put myself through that lol
@Madeline25 I hear there is more rain on the way. I have you and the rest of your state in my thoughts until everything is safe again. I think that they will postpone the end of the quarter due to you all not having school for a while. At my school, we don’t get class rank until the end of the semester when we know how many credits we’ve received so far this year. I won’t be finding out mine until January.
@BucketsUCSC That’s awesome!!! I’m taking World History, too (just not AP; that’s senior year for me), and I also have an A. My grade is 0.5% away from an A+. I hope it gets to an A+ before the end of the quarter on the 30th.
@frazzledazzle does an A plus differ in terms of GPA at your school because at my school all we have is A so a 90 percent ot 100 percent are equivalewnt
@frazzledazzle Thank you! I emailed my physics teacher and I got that impression from him too. We can only find out our class rank from the previous year. We also don’t do +'s or -'s just A,B,C, etc and and I am extremely glad for that.
I am now at a B in AP World History, now it’s up to my unit 2 Test next week if I’m able to keep that B or not!
I don’t know for sure, @BucketsUCSC. On our semester report cards, we find out both our weighted and unweighted GPAs. On our grade portal (online gradebook), there is a difference between A and A+. An A- is at least 92.5%, an A a 94.5%, and A+ a 98.5%. I don’t know what numbers assigned on a 4 point or 5 point scale (I just use CollegeBoard’s when calculating mine).
@Madeline25 That’s good! I wish that was the same at my school, or at least that the grading was less strict.
@Phantomlink Good luck on your test! What is it on?
A+ A A- are all the same thing to colleges. Your semester grades should only be F D C B A grades but if not colleges exclude the +'s and -'s anyway. I believe it is the fact that a class is an honors/AP course that gives the class the extra point (a=5)
So, if I have a 91% in a class, a college will just viewit as an A (90 - 100)? I like that! @sewin2music
Yep!!! @apple1893
It’s a good thing colleges don’t look at quarter grades too… I still have a B in AP Euro!! :((
I have a B- in Photography… Time to fix that before my mid trimester grades come in! @sewin2music
@BucketsUCSC I just looked in my school handbook, and my school doesn’t have -/+ for the GPA calculations. Just 4,3,2,1 and 5,4,2,1 for honors/AP classes.
