I’m from the Southwest.
Hey! Have any of you taken/are taking AP Art History? If so, how is it? I’m considering taking it next year, since I heard it might count for your art credit in college.
@gormar099 I have not taken it and my school does not have it. I would say go for it if you are into art and it should most definitely count towards college credit. We have a regular art history class that looks pretty cool learning about the different types of art I guess…but it actually requires you to do “art projects”, go figure right? It is just not for me.
since I am in the visual arts conservatory at my school, I am required to take it junior or senior year @gormar099
@Madeline25 @tonyk16 We’re probably the only 3. New England or Mid-Atlantic? I’m a New Englander all the way. (go Pats!!) [not going to ask what state. that might be a little too personal to answer for some people.]
@frazzledazzle Agreed, it might be too personal. But I am also a New Englander, more of a basketball fan, but yes go Pats lol, born and raised. It is so beautiful here and I will hopefully stay in this area for college. This summer I vacationed in NH and hiked up the Twin Mountains. Very, Very, VERY beautiful. Everyone from New England should take the chance to do it.
@frazzledazzle South, actually. Y’all have it all wrong, SEC all the way!
How is state too personal state’s are huge I’l even say what school i go to if anyone asks
@tonyk16 I’m traveling through NH in a few weeks on the way to VT for Thanksgiving. I traveled to Mt. Washington a few years ago. It’s very beautiful.
Hey! I’m a new member, class of 2018, just wanted to drop in and make my debut post!
@BucketsUCSC Yeah I don’t have a huge problem saying my state, but school is too personal for me. To each ther own
@missacademy2018 Welcome!!!
@Madeline25 That is true. I’m okay with my state. School is too personal.
@missacademy2018 Welcome!
This is my first time in an blending learning program. It is a mix of an online and traditional platform. I don’t feel as if I’m learning anything and I am freaking out. I am taking two APs online and I can’t say what I have learned and the AP exam is coming. Does any one have tips on learning in an online platform?

Mainiac…haha
@missacademy2018 Welcome to the official high school class of 2018 College Confidential forum. Go sophomores! (at least for this academic year)
@cookiesandcreme I haven’t tried to take AP online classes for credit but you might want to consider getting a prep book to help you-- also you can just google “crash course AP ____ pdf” and they have really useful content
@Cookiesandcreme I would suggest getting the 5 steps to a 5 book. I’ve known several people who didn’t take an AP class, but self studied with that book and got 4s and 5s
@Cookiesandcreme More books as suggestions are the Barron’s and Cliffnotes (latest edition) books in the AP class that you’re taking. My APBio teacher recommended them to us to read.
Thanks @aspiringgirl @frazzledazzle @raffie I’ll check it out
