:)>- Glad you’re happy, @adiacs. On the other hand, how mean would it be if I made a thread in the Chance Me boards that was something like:
GRAMMAR ALERT
shoo-in, not shoe-in
Ivies, not Ivy’s
Dual Enrollment, not Duel Enrollment

@awesomepolyglot, it would make you seem like a smartask. ( ) lol
I claim the title proudly.
Am I the only person on this thread that is not required to do gym to graduate?
JELLY. What state are you in?
Yeah, I though everyone had at least one year of pe required. Do you go to a private school?
I am in Florida, but it is not the state, but the program that I am in
In Tennessee, they have “Lifetime Wellness” instead. I’m like “Okay, TN, get over yourself, everybody else in the country thinks you’re backward and overly full of country music, stop being pretentious.” It’s required for everybody whether you take a sport or not, so a girl in my class who has played varsity volleyball for 4 (!) years has to suffer through the class with freshmen and sophomores.
I like the gym class I’m in. I take Net Sports which is literally net sports. So far we’ve done tennis and volleyball. I love that class. It takes my stress away.
@Giovuhnni What a coincidence! I take net sports too and we have done the same sports
. . . boi get outta here
I can’t choose In which states can you?
Well, I know for a fact that you can’t choose in NJ… Anyways, I don’t mind gym, my teacher is really nice. I’m just worried about swim team try-outs tomorrow. I’m pretty sure I’ll make it, so I’m scared of how hard the practices are going to be :(( Because I’m on a high-school warm-up team, and my times have dropped by like 3-5 seconds ahhhh
We only have to take PE for one semester and we are done with it. There are other PE electives for the athletic people that want to continue doing PE, such as Weight Training, Strength and Flexibility, etc.
@awesomepolyglot I started planning in 7th grade so…
@Nickarch
You go to the same school, have the same curricula and we were talking about which PE class was easiest last year. We all agreed on Net Sports or Yoga. So… why are you surprised?
I haven’t posted in so long, I’ve been going through all the posts I missed and would like to say hello to all the other people who joined this thread since I created it.
I’m currently taking:
APUSH with @Giovuhnni it’s hell
H Precalc which I LOVE
H English which is okay
H Chemistry which I also LOVE
H Biology which is super boring
Principles of Engineering which I only occasionally understand
Spanish 2 filled with rowdy students
@whimsicalwhims Yeah. Online PE class is kind of a joke, which is why I hate it so much. Its pretty much a bunch of exercise labs and stuff where you have to set goals for yourself, log your progress, record data…I am so glad my core classes are at a brick and mortar school xD
I would love to know what you guys are reading in English. I am taking Honors American Lit this year and our book list stinks English is probably my weakest subject and the one I am least motivated to work for. So far, we have read two feminist novels. ‘The Awakening’ and ‘The House of Mirth’. Why the school chose to start us off with two feminist novels where the feminist actually kills herself at the end is beyond me. Are you guys reading the same boring stuff?
In my class we read The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian and the plays Antigone and Our Town.
Most people liked the stories and we have a lot of interesting discussions. For the plays, we had projects were we acted out the plays and that was pretty fun.
