As a junior in high school, I'm finding that it's time to really buckle down and determine a major. During my freshman year, I was enthralled in journalism and was sure it would be my future. In the past year, however, that aspiration has diminished and I've been finding myself interested in a wide variety of subjects.

Because of this, it's almost a given that I'll double major. But I'm wondering one thing: Say, for example, that I'm an average Science student (I've gotten A-'s through B-'s in science courses throughout high school), and for the majority of my high school career haven't put much stock or effort into science. But now I'm looking into biotechnology and find it to be very, very interesting and would love to consider it as a major... will be ability to get into my college's School of Biology be hindered because my classes in high school do not reflect a profound interest in biology, or science whatsoever?

(I'm considering going to the University of Missouri, Kansas City)
