<p>in the program announcement ( <a href=“http://education.msu.edu/hshsp/pdf/HSHSP-Program-Announcement.pdf”>http://education.msu.edu/hshsp/pdf/HSHSP-Program-Announcement.pdf</a> ), it says that “Applicants will be informed of their status by May 1.” hopefully that means that decisions will be out by then, since i really can’t think of any other meaning for the sentence (though correct me if i’m wrong…)</p>
<p>@science2015 Oh ok I did not see that. Last year people ended up finding out in April though, I wonder why it’s later this year?</p>
<p>I am def sure that there are waaay more applicants this year. But, she said you will know by May 1st, meaning that May 1st is like a buffer date. It doesn’t mean that all of the acceptances/ rejections will come in like on April 30. </p>

<p>Last year the first decision was sent on 4/16, but in 2012 the decision was out this time of the year, according to a 2013 applicant.</p>

<p>no guys, dont jump to conclusions! if you read the past threads, youll see that they send out the decisions in “waves”. And waves is in quotes because its basically sent as they decide, meaning that they dont wait to tell everyone at once or in groups. </p>
<p>Basically, we’ll be hearing in the next few weeks, all at different times.</p>
<p>Plus, be reasonable! Why would someone lie and say they got REJECTED? hahaha lets just keep it friendly here!</p>

also, for those of you wondering, I had my application postmarked on March 15, so i’m not too positive about the FIFO…</p>

<p>They can not just eliminate applicants after a single sweep.
That would make no sense, and would just be a superficial method of selecting.
I believe that, at this point, only the applicants that were missing some materials were rejected at this time.</p>
