High schoolers in the Olympics?

<p>Does it really matter if they're smart or not? Being an Olympian in high school is like recruited athlete^9999999. If they're that dedicated to their sports, why shouldn't they show a similar dedication to academics even if study time is greatly limited?</p>

<p>nobody from my school but a friend of my cousin came sooooo close to making the team in swimming. She got 3rd in both of her events at the 2004 trials and got 3rd in both events again at the trials last month. I can't even imagine how heart breaking that is....</p>

<p>On a happier note...did anyone see the men's 400 free relay the other night??? It was AMAZING!</p>
