What rooms are easier for freshmen to get in Harrison? 3 singles, 1 double 2 singles, or double ? I know they’re done on a lottery basis but which ones are less likely to have been taken by sophomores, juniors, & seniors?

bumppppppppppp

If you're an incoming freshman applying to the High Rises, you'll most likely live in a 3-bedroom quad, which consists of two singles and one double in a suite (apartment) with a common room and private bathroom. Most of the doubles and ALL of the other room types (singles, triples, 4-bedroom quads, etc.) go to upperclassmen.

would that be the "HARS-41 Quad apt (3BR/LR/kit)" ?

yup.

thanks, for those who have/are living in the highrises, what are some of the disadvantages? are there more than the usual conflicts with roomates who might be blasting the tv while you're studying than in the regular dorms?

the highrises are ugly, structurally they're not great, and some of the amenities (eg the bathrooms) are old.

sometimes it can be annoying having to wait a few minutes for the elevator if you're in a hurry

i haven't lived there, but i'm sure the wind tunnel between them along locust walk can't be too much fun to deal with every day during the winter. on the plus side though, the rooftop lounges are pretty sweet with nice views.
