I've heard numerous things about other residence halls but nothing about the Hill community. Does anyone know how nice Boggs, Hill, and Lipscomb are? Those are my choices just because I don't want to be in the freshman high rises...and I don't want to be in a dorm with mostly upperclassmem. If anyone knows ANYTHING, please let me know!

My current roommate was in Lipscomb when she was living a dorm. The rooms are pretty spacious (at least compared to the high rises). No elevator though. But it wasn’t a bad hall and is a nice alternative to the high rises.

I just moved out of Boggs last week, and it was a great dorm overall. All of the lower five (Boggs, Church, Hill, Mell, Lipscomb) look nearly identical with some differences in the first floor layout and AC/heating. If you’re not wanting to live with 1000 other people, I’d say any of the lower five is a great choice. Boggs had about 160 people, so you get to know mostly everyone. Living in a smaller dorm gave me a better sense of community because I became close to a lot of the people I lived with. I was also able to meet a few upperclassmen in Boggs. Granted, there were only about five or six of them, but it was cool to meet someone with a little more college experience under their belt. Like jenmarie said, the room are slightly bigger, and you get your own sink! What a luxury and convenience that was. Plus, these dorms are centrally located and only a short walk to Tate, MLC, Sanford stadium, and other buildings in the center of campus. There are bus stops near all the dorms in Hill, so if you don’t feel like walking to a class up on north campus, the buses are there for convenience.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

All I can say is Boggs is HUGE in comparison to Creswell or Russel. If they offered the learning communites like they do at Creswell then I would definetley be their. Besides it is in the Center of campus. All and all if you want an enviroment that you can be social in yet at the same time study move their. Yet if you are a socialite and live and thrive on party’s 24/7, avoid that place like the plauge.

If you’re referring to size, Boggs is TINY compared to Russell/Creswell/Brumby. And even if you’re a huge party person, there are people in all of the dorms that will join you, not just in the high rises.

I think what everyone means is that in terms of ROOM size, Boggs is bigger than the high rises rooms. In terms of the actually building size, the high rises are bigger.

Yeah I meant room size.
