News from the HHYA:

Thank you for your email. Im sorry for the difficulty in getting hold of us, the website is now updated with the correct contact information and the new details of the Youth Awards: [Hispanic Heritage Awards](http://hispanicheritage.org/youth.php)

The application for high school juniors will be up at the end of March, recipients will be selected in the summer and the ceremonies will take place during the Fall of their senior year.

Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards:

This national leadership program serves as the feeder to all other HHF youth efforts and provides a vetted network of emerging Latino leaders who have excelled in the classroom and community in various categories including science, technology, engineering, math, business, journalism, education, and sports. It is now a HHYA initiative to put greater focus in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields as well as the Green Industry, as the HHF looks to fill voids in these fields with talented Latino youth, and adhere to President Obamas goal of increasing the number of green jobs.

After a broad national search for applicants which includes partnerships with 8,000 high schools, media, business, and community organizations across the country, we honor Latino high school seniors from 9 markets in various categories.

HHYA applicants also nominate an educator who has made a difference in their lives and we honor one Teacher Award recipient in each of the 12 regions during well-attended ceremonies at top universities and in DC on Capitol Hill, hosted by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

One of HHF’s signature programs, the 13 year old Youth Awards, has been revamped and changes include:
