I am going to be a freshmen this year and I am taking upper division history classes and a language.

I am enrolled in history m110 iranian civilization with Shayegan and History 160a Latin America with Wilkie and I am also enrolled in hebrew 1 but waitlisted in Farsi 20a(i hope to switch into the farsi class instead of hebrew)

Any recommendations of history classes/teachers and if you know anything about my classes that would be great!

If you’re a freshmen I would advise completing at least some of the lower division major prereqs prior to jumping into upper division history courses. Take a GE or two if the ones you want are full.

I agree with TheHutt as well. Lower division classes will help you to get a sense of how UCLA classes are like especially on the quarter system which goes by very quickly. You also don’t want to potentially damage your major GPA with your first quarter. My advice: Take it easy and enjoy UCLA during your first quarter.
