Hi,
i wish to major in Business and i think NYU is one of the best schools for it. My GPA is a 4.19 weighted, 3.67 unweighted, and my SAT is a 1820.Is NYU a school that only looks at scores? i do tons of extracurricular activities. I founded my own Investment club in my high school, i am treasurer of Student Government Association, I ran track, i am in math national honors society, and i do community service. I also took an entrepreneurship course at University of Maryland and got an A.
I want to go to NYU, and its my first choice school. Is there any way i can increase my chances

You’ll need a better SAT score for Stern.

At this point your best effort will be to try to up your test scores. Regardless of your other factors, I would try to shoot for a 2000 SAT as a minimum and a 30 ACT. Those numbers will by no means guarantee admissions-- I would say that for Stern they are probably a minimum. At that point perhaps your EC’s or essays could impress them somewhat and you would benefit form a holistic review. However, below those test scores, I don’t think they will take you seriously.

jeez… thats rough. ugh

Aim for 2200+ for Stern(2000 is way too low for Stern these days)

2100-2200 my bad.

The only thing you could do is better essays for holistic admissions unless you win some major awards (Intel, Google, etc). But yea, a 1450 (CR+M) is probably minimum
