Hey i recently got into the premed program at holy cross, however i have no idea how. i was a straight B student and took no AP or honors classes in any sciences. So when i applied i thought holy cross was a shot in the dark. So far i have only heard that the premed program is incredibly hard. I already dunno if ill be able to handle it. If there are any Premed students at Holy Cross or at a school similar to Holy Cross and is in premed that can tell me about the course load could you help me out here. I am interested in premed but i also wanna enjoy my time in college (meaning i dont wanna be stuck in my room working all the time). All i wanna hear is how hard it is and whether i will still have a fun time.

Thanks

anyone wanna help me out...

It is a lot of work and requires a lot of dedication and single-mindedness but that will be true for any premed program at any top college. If you want to get into medical school, you need to be ready to work hard.

Thanks for the comment, i understand that any premed program will be difficult. i was just wondering if this program means that i won't have a social life outside of class.

One of Holy Cross' greatest quarterbacks back in the late 1980s, Jeff Wiley, is now a surgeon. You definitely will have time for a social life. That should not be an issue at all.

hahaha thanks, that helps

There is another thread about the HC pre-med program, but 1980collegegrad is right. You certainly will be able to have a social life. I am in the pre-med program right now, and have more than enough time to socialize/relax. You only take 4 classes per semester, which definitely reduces stress. It's great here--you should go for it!

Wow, thats exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks a lot.
