<p>Has anyone had Kitchloo for Math 20C? </p>
<p>i got my first midterm today and i got a 35/60 which is totally going to own me because my scores aren't going to get better.</p>
<p>you forgot the most important piece of information: how the rest of the class did</p>
<p>i have no clue but seeing as its a freshman math class i cant imagine something close to 50 percent being even remotely a decent score.</p>
<p>I'm taking his class right now. I still don't know my midterm score though because I haven't been going to the discussion sections. XD But I'm pretty sure I did badly (I basically BS-ed half the questions b/c I didn't know how to do them). I think he said that the class average was 70-something.</p>
<p>I'm hoping that I can pull off decent scores on the 2nd midterm and final so my first midterm gets dropped...</p>

<p>your professor could have written an abysmally difficult exam, he/she could have failed to teach anything all quarter, etc. don't jump to conclusions until you know the grading policies and the performance of the class as a whole.</p>
<p>fwiw, i got a 50% in one of my classes on an absolute grading scale but still squeaked out with a C+.</p>
<p>I have Horton and the average on our first midterm was a 55/80...and from what I've heard your midterm was a lot harder than ours, so I can't imagine the average for your class being any higher than that...</p>
<p>All my A's in my upper-div math classes have been under 70%</p>
<p>Math is notorious for skewing the bell-curve so that it's really hard to get an abysmal grade</p>
<p>god damn used took the second midterm and got owned on that one as well. the material on the test didnt even seem to have much relevance to what we did in class during the last few weeks. im so screwed in that class.</p>
<p>YEAH TODAY'S MIDTERM WAS HELL.
I actually thought I knew the material well, but when I looked at the problems, I got really confused. It didnt seem like it was something he gave us on the hw before.</p>
<p>but I managed to get a perfect on the first midterm--thank god for the curve at the end.</p>
