Any advice on which is a better idea for a sophmore?
Trying to stay on best path for college. Had honors Algebra 2 as a freshman.
Grade was low B.
Have heard different theories of what class to take next.

One theory- to stay with Honors Analysis and Calc for Junior year. Then Stats as a senior.
Second theory-take AP stats now, Honors Analysis as a junior and Calc as a senior. With the thought that Calc in college will be easier if you have Calc just before college.

I recommend the first theory, because it allows you the flexibility to take multi/linear/diffEq senior year if you decide to. Even if you do forget some of what you learned junior year by the time you start college, it’s fairly easy to brush up on it again and be set.

Math Analysis. AP Statistics is useless. Also, if you don’t take Math Analysis, which is basically Precalculus, you will be at a very huge setback when applying to colleges and/or when you attend the college itself.

“Honors…Analysis? Did I miss something here?”

It’s the same thing as precalc.

" Also, if you don’t take Math Analysis, which is basically Precalculus, you will be at a very huge setback when applying to colleges and/or when you attend the college itself."

The question was whether he should take it sophomore or junior year.
