Honors Calc 3 Textbook(s)

<p>My son is starting UF in the fall and registered for Honors Calc 3 (MAC 3474). There are no book requirements for his class/section on the UF Bookstore site, but someone in the math dept. told me that it is the same as regular Calc 3. Using the UF site to search for the general MAC 2313 textbook requirements, the texts come up as follows:</p>

<p>These are expensive!!! If I try to find used books and search for that Early Transcendentals ISBN on other sites, I come up empty. Surely, there has to be a better way. My son has a collection of Calculus texts already just because he loves math. I can't imagine spending almost $300 for one class. </p>

<p>Does anyone have experience with this textbook and why it might be so difficult to find somewhere else? Also, can anyone explain the "BNDL:" and if the recommended material is necessary? Thanks in advance!!</p>

<p>BNDL makes me think it might a book and cd or online thing. That would it so you would have to buy new since the code only works once. Either way, I had the same problem with no books listed for honors calc 2.</p>

<p>I’m currently taking regular Calc III and it should just be the second book you listed. Now whether or not you will have to buy the book new will depend on the instructor. New versions come with an online webassign hw thing, but I think you can just buy access online.</p>

<p>…Looking at his syllabus, he doesn’t use any of the software garbage that comes with the packs, so you can just get the book used.
