On the U Alabama website, it says that “admission to the Honors College requires a 28 ACT or 1250 SAT and a minimum 3.5 high school GPA”. If you have those stats, are your chances good, or do you need much higher stats to be competitive? What are the actual average admitted test scores/GPA?
After you are accepted to UA, if you have the required stats, they invite you to apply - basically all you do is write a brief essay about your interest in the Honors College and they accept you (at least, that’s how it worked with us).
Admittance to the Honors College is not ‘competitive’, in the sense that all who qualify are competing for a limited # of spots. No, rather, admittance it is open to any & all who meet the minimum qualifications, and all who do, are admitted into the HC. There is no limit on the # of spots in the HC. All who meet the qualifications will get in.
