Honors College Consideration Questions

Ok! So I (unfortunately) was not accepted directly into the honors program at Rutgers. I did recently send in my consideration form though. I have a couple questions in regards to that. First off
1) How many consideration applicants are accepted? If you weren't directly accepted by the program to begin with is it very difficult to get accepted after that?

2) They said the results of the consideration form would come back in the beginning of April. This makes me nervous with the whole housing thing. You get special housing if you're in honors, right? I'm worried I'll sign up for regular housing and then find out I made it and not be able to be in the honors housing. However if I wait until April I heard rooms fill up really fast so I don't want all my top choices to be gone by the time I register if I don't make honors.....what do I do? Will April be an ok time to apply for housing or should I do it now?

Thanks! :)

You only get to submit a campus preference, not a building choice. What campus do you want to live on?

Ohhhh! I was not aware of that. I feel better now  I want to be on Douglass, but I think that solved my second question well enough haha.

I don’t think there would be a problem applying in April, but apply as soon as you know. Usually people want College Ave and Busch.

My son also applied to Rutgers honors program. Do they do admissions on a rolling basis or does everyone hear in April?
