Honors Dorming v. Regular Halls

What are the pros and cons of each for an incoming freshman?
I plan to apply for Douglass no matter what.

i live in the honors dorm on douglass. it’s quieter, more conducive to studying and such while katzenbach is considerably louder and the rooms are kind of cramped. jameson’s rooms are huge, and it’s right across from the campus center, close to all the printing labs, and is the first stop on douglass and last stop which makes it super convenient. jameson’s quiet but there’s still activity or whatever going on. if you’re looking for some place quiet to concentrate on your studies, i’d say jameson. if you’re looking for a more social dorm with tons of other first-year douglass students though, i’d recommend katzenbach.

Thank you naoise! I think I’m going to stick with honors housing so I don’t have to go out of my way for the library, etc. I heard there’s an underground tunnel underneath Jameson–is this true? That would be pretty cool.

i have not heard of such a thing. there are underground pathways underneath the quads on livingston. and some of the wings of jameson are connected by above-ground hallways, particularly this one that has a glass hallway and it’s very pretty.
