I'm an SAS Honors student planning to enroll in the Douglass Residential College, so I'm offered to live in Jameson H with 14 other frosh honors students in DRC. I'm stuck because I don't know if I should just go with all the other freshman and chose Katzenbach.

Katzenbach: all frosh so more people to meet, right next to the dining hall, getting to know your floor is cool, seems to be busy

Jameson: bigger rooms, more cozy and house like feeling, living with upperclassmen, right next to the bus stop so easy access, might get lonely?

Thing is, I'm an undecided major, and I'm worried about making friends, but grades are important to me. Any tips/opinions would be great!! ((I've already asked students and they seem to be biased towards where they live, haha! ))

You decided on Rutgers instead of TCNJ! Wish I knew where I am going. If i go to rutgers I will choose to live at Douglass too.

Haha, yup! It's cheaper for me, and I like the big school vibe, while feeling cozy in Douglass. I felt too claustrophobic when I spent an overnight at TCNJ. :/ I guess I'm not a small school type of person. Let me know where you're going! Maybe I'll have a potential Douglass friend. (:!

I've lived in both Katzenbach and Jameson, and though I loved both, I'd suggest living in Katzenbach your first year. I think it really does help in meeting people and making friends, and I wouldn't be too concerned about not being able to get work done because it's still relatively chill compared to other dorms. Plus, you have another three years to live in Jameson if you want to.

Hope that helps...and welcome to Douglass! : )

Ahh, thanks! I actually decided on Katzenbach the other day. And I'm officially part of Douglass, which is wayy exciting. (: Thanks for the tips, I def feel better about my decision now!
