Honors Student, Confused

I applied to Indiana University-Bloomington and Purdue University-West Lafayette in August 2011. Two weeks later, I was accepted to IU. December 9, I was given my decision from Purdue and it read: Pending/Additional Information. They asked that I send in my grades from the first trimester of my senior year; I did.

3.507 unweighted GPA, 1830 SAT, rank 40/257 major: English Education
National Honors Society, BPA (business professionals of america) president and state finalist, taken all AP/ACP classes, peer mentor (freshman tutor), cross country captain 2 years, varsity tennis 3 years. have done lots of volunteer work and have 2 jobs.

Purdue has said that they will re-evaluate my application and that I'll find out no sooner than February 2012 what my final decision is. I am worried that this may mean March, April, May...has this happened to anyone before? Does anyone know when they re-release the decisions? What are my chances of getting in? Should I just enroll at IU, even though going to Purdue has been a dream of mine since I was little?

I appreciate any and all replies as I am extremely stressed.

Is there a reason to accept at IU immediately? Usually, you have until May 1 to decide. As to Purdue, it decided it wanted to see more before making a final decision. You are still in the running and it will decide after making many other decisions first when it knows more about the entire pool of applicants. Likely you will hear in February but could be as late as March.
