Do you think turning in a good midyear report help your chances at getting a big scholarship or does it even matter at this point....?

btw I got As on 2 AP classes, 2 reg/vocation classes, and a college math class...and...a B+ for an AP class...

Should I report? cus when I called they said that I don't have to report it unless they ask for it...

One last question...is there any hope at this point of getting a big scholarship if your status hasn't updated from "prelim review" since 12/11/08????

Also someone from my school got the packet on monday but i havent gotten anything. what does that mean?

I know thats a lot of questions but im freaking out right now!! any input would help tremendously! THANKS!

lyrical_liar- I'll give your questions a try-

Your midyear grades will not be looked at for scholarship consideration.

Send in your scores ASAP. Every applicant who is not asked to interview for a scholarship is asked for midyear grades. In most cases, those applicants' decisions will not be made until midyear grades are received. If you get a scholarship notification, it won't matter that you sent them but you'll have a jump on it just in case you don't.

It means nothing. Scholarships are not decided based on your high school.

Your best bet is to compare your stats to those already accepted. If you are up with those stats, you've still got a shot for one of the big ones. And there are other scholarships available after that so try to relax and wait. Good luck! :)

whatever i just turned it in. I mean really at this point I have nothing to lose cus if I don't get the scholarship I have to turn in the midyear report anyway...

wow sorry for the double post (i was in the middle of posting when you posted)

Yea I believe I am up there with the stats except my rank is in the 20s but im in top 95%. plus SAT is only 2240...these are all probably weaker than the other person in my school that got the envelope...the only thing stronger would probably be leadership and ECs...but barely.
