<p>Well in about a week all those who attended candidates' weekend should know their fate. Just wishing all of you who have Olin as you first choice the best. It seems like such a long time ago when we took our son to visit Olin during his junior year. I knew then that was where he wanted to be. Now late in his senior year we are keeping our fingers cross for some really good news next Friday........</p>

<p>Here’s wishing the best to all the students that will hear from Olin College admissions next week. If Olin is your first choice, hope that you receive the good news that you’ve been waiting for.</p>

<p>In a way we were lucky. DS didn’t get seriously hooked on Olin until CW. So his wait for an answer was weeks, not months.</p>

Per an email to Olin community a few weeks ago:

  • decisions will be mailed on Friday March 22,
  • they will be posted on the Olin portal for Candidates on Wednesday March 27. </p>

<p>Interesting. Per the March 4 post, the last Admissions Committee meeting was that Friday (March 8). 2 weeks to prepare the letters?</p>

<p>Probably they need the extra time to do the financial aid packages - they most likely only do complete packages for those accepted.</p>

<p>So does that mean, even if they’re shipped UPS, on a Friday, they won’t be delivered until Monday because isn’t the UPS shipment next business day delivery?</p>

<p>Hi folks! Emily Moscol (Assistant Dean of Admission) here!
I wanted to make clear that decisions won’t be mailed until March 25. They will be online on March 27. It takes a few weeks because this year we are waiting for the Financial Aid letters to be ready, so that we can send them out together. This will help your family make a decision about Olin College with all of the information. </p>

<p>We send both Accepted and Waitlist decisions by UPS Next Day. In the case of international students, it depends on where you live, but probably DHL. Denied students will receive their letters by USPS.</p>
