Hoping to Transfer

I'm currently a business student at Auburn University. I'm originally from Texas; this is my first year at Auburn, and now I want to transfer back to Texas A&M. After one semester at Auburn, I have a 3.0 gpa. After this semester I'm expecting to have around a 3.3 or 3.4, and I'll have 29 credit hours. If possible, I want to go straight into Mays if I'm accepted to A&M. My question is: How likely is this? Should I even bother with applying to Mays since they only look at first college choice? I don't really want to have to pick a different major and transfer into Mays internally, but if that would give me more of a shot I'd take a look into it. If it matters I have a 3.5 in high school and a 28 on my ACT.

Thanks, let me know.

You’re gonna need a 3.8-3.9 for Mays. I was in the same boat as you grade wise.

If you get into another program at A&M, transferring internally to mays is not very difficult.
[Change of Curriculum Information | Mays Business School | Texas A&M University](http://mays.tamu.edu/upo/change-curriculum-information/)
This lists all of the requirements for getting into mays as a current student…

They are closing off internal transfers to Mays Call the admission office they will confirm

If you want business you need to trf into businss or you won’t get in

They need to make this clearer to prospective students
