Hopkins music minor

Hi - Our S is choosing between JHU and USC for a lib arts major with a music minor. I am wondering how accessible the Peabody faculty/classes/ensembles will be for a Homewood student. Will he be relegated to lessons with non-professors? He is a very accomplished tenor saxophonist--is it likely that he will be able to join a good jazz ensemble? Thanks for any insights.

I'd suggest taking a look at the following:

Hi. I'm just a student but some of my friends take classes/lessons at the Peabody Conservatory. Her lessons and recitals all take place over there and it isn't more than just a bus ride away which is provided to all Hopkins students. Some of my other friends are on jazz emsemble groups on campus and they are fairly active from what I hear.
