I haven’t been able to accept my award for some reason so I emailed the organization. Has anyone had that problem? It says accept by January 28th in the email.
I haven’t been able to either. I also emailed them. The original email said to log in and fill out the Scholarship Acceptance Form, but when you click the link and log in there is no form. Is this the same problem you had? @Fuzerabit
Also, does anyone know what the Collegiate Partners Program is? It says that as a scholar I could benefit from it but I’m not sure how the program works.
Yes that is the same problem. I also called and then just received an email that the problem should be fixed.
Going to try now to accept it.

Will those awarded the State Scholarship receive some type of medallion or cord?
To the winners: weren’t we supposed to get an email in late February with information on how to log in to the special website designed for the winners that has the information on what colleges we’re going to and when to request our disbursement checks? This just crossed my mind and I realized that I never received that information. Did anyone else?

I would call them. I received an email and was able to accept my award when I logged in. I just have to notify them once I commit to a school so they know where to send the funds.
@Fuzerabit I received the email on how to accept the award and I did, but did you receive an email after that?
I went back and got this from the original email stating that I had won a scholarship:
“As a scholarship recipient, you will receive an account to access the Scholar’s area on our website. Further information regarding how to access your personalized account will be provided to you in February.”
Yeah I didn’t get anything in February.
I received two emails. One on January 20 and the other January 21.
I logged in and accepted my award with the 2nd email and will update them when I find out which school I will be attending.

I know this is very late, but does anyone know if they send rejection emails? I assumed that I was not awarded, but in retrospect, it seems like I should have gotten at least some notification. In my portal, Horatio Alger Scholarship is categorized under Complete, but neither Rejected or Awarded.
It’s funny how I just posted a question 2 days ago and today I received an email that answered it! But @fennec38 here are the lists of the winners: https://scholars.horatioalger.org/scholarships/2016-scholarship-recipients/ You can check the National List and then your state list; however, I am pretty sure you would have been notified if you won. I’m not sure if they sent rejection emails.
Thank you, didn’t know they had a list! Not on it, but at least it provides some closure.
