<p>If Colleges in New York do, indeed, use academic renewal can anyone receive it? The one semester is crippling my g.p.a. tremendously and I really want to have those grades erased and start fresh. Is this possible for colleges in New York?</p>
<p>Why don’t you look at your college’s website and talk to the registrar. Most of the time, however, academic renewal (or forgiveness) does not erase the grades (just pulls them out of the GPA). Most colleges only offer this option for F’s.</p>
