Hotel Recommendation: Holiday Inn in Ithaca?

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? I am interested in a clean, safe, comfortable room. Female travelers. We have an executive room in the tower. My other choice is the Courtyard Marriot which I understand is a little further from Cornell but looks like it has decent reviews on tripadvisor. Of course, the Statler would be ideal, but that and everything else seems to be booked.

Thanks for any advice.

That is the Holiday Inn in town, right? We drove our daughter back to school one day earlier because of a pending snow storm. She and a girlfriend stayed there overnight, and took the hotel shuttle to the dorm next day. It's perfectly safe. It's also very close to everything in town. Their room was very clean on the first floor.

this is where my parents always stayed when they came here (before they got a Mariott points card). It's a good hotel...clean, safe and fairly close to campus (not walkable though).

ive also booked the holiday inn at a realli great rate! but i was wondering r there free shuttles to cornell university?? it didnt say on their website =(

Yes, there is free shutle to Cornell.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn. Parking is tough. We ended up with our car on the street overnight rather than in their lot.

I prefer the Best Western. Of course, I really prefer the Statler but my wallet doesn't.

The Courtyard is near the airport and a short drive to North Campus -- however, following Tripphammer can be a challenge since it twists and turns in a couple of spots. There is also a two-year old Hilton Garden Inn downtown Ithaca which is nice. They (used to) cover the parking in the lot across the street.
