Hotel School applicant stats!

i am a sophomore
=)

password, do you go to monta vista? your classes sound familiar, and youre from the area. I'm an mv grad/current hotelie.

wait nvm you cant be i know the current asb treasurer. lynbrook? cupertino?

im cupertino's Treasurer..

so...use some deduction skills now..=D

im part of Gold Coast.

Thanks apple, I am leaning more towards ED for SHA

Lynbrook =]]]

frightening that everyone in SHA seems to know each other that are from cali. O.O

whoooo for bay area hotelies! HAHAH.

Im didnt know anyone coming in lol. Hotelies are social and the school is small. you'll get to know EVERYONE probably more than you want.

afchang- did you go to nationals or competed in hospitality management (open event there). That event was really messed up...only about 15 questions on hospitality and the rest on general marketing/ business -__-"

Do you know if you're going to states this year or not?

haha. I"m in fbla, but not thaaaat into it. Somehow our orchestra tours were always at the same time as states and stuff. -__-

anybody with an off campus interview- what are you sending you wallet-size picture with? Like, do I just add a piece of paper with my name, address, SS#, bday and stuff on it? Thanks!

yeah i competed in hospitality management. some of those questions were ridiculous!

wouldn't miss state for anything! unless if it was a college admit weekend, then i might have a tough time deciding ;)

i just got an email from cornell and have to set my interview date within two weeks >.<. here comes the nerves!

I have my interview THURSDAY. -___- I'm so nervous. Question: How many questions did you guys prepare to ask the interviewer? thankss!

who's your interviewer? mine was awesome. just ask about how their experience was. ask about HEC, CHS, and clubs like that. try to be as specific as possible to show you know the school a lot.

haha who was your interviewer on campus? I probably would know the professor or admission person.

yousonofatree are u guys talking about DECA's hospitality management? if it was then it sure was ridiculous since im from NJ and regionals was like that... it was basically all business and 10-15 hospitality questions.

we were talking about FBLA, but it sounds very similar to how you're describing it for DECA.

Anyone submit the supplement yet?

nopeee. I GOT INTO PURDUEEE. okayy. what do you guys think about purdue hospitality vs. cornell. obviously my first choice is cornell, but I honestly dont' wanna be in thousands in debt after undergrad. Hmmmm. any opinions?? thanks!

AHH! How long did it take for them to get back to you?? I sent my application to purdue last week..so....yeah

Good job! =D
