Housing at Penn

lol.

idk, my tour guide got hit on while she was giving the bloody tour! (y'all got such high frickin SATs and GPAs....learn a ******* pickup line or two) so lets not completely rule out indecent approaches ;)

Anyway, i thought those boarding school kids invented parties?

yea.. ive got plenty of friends at phillips (boy they know how to party.. i much prefer driving myself to andover than staying in my town).. then again.. they study hard.. in the past 5 years theyve gotten what 74-75 into harvard?? plus.. a good friend there told me that like half the student body applies to wharton..

Just listen to what I'm saying. I'm am the type of person who, at times, would rather just be alone and talk to no one and have no one talk to me. Well, I soon learned that those days are over here at Penn. I get dragged out of my room all the time by people that live around me to go do stuff. I was in bed this morning and my neighbors banged on my door and preceeded to drag me to the homecoming against Princeton. It was the most fun I have had in a while...

There are several guys from Phillips Exeter that I know who are cool as ****! They're all freakin' crazy...lol!!!

have you guys noticed that we, the prospective students, are a really social group? i think the high activity on the penn board is indicative of the nature of penn as a whole.. no?

ooh... my friends at phillips ANDOVER would beg to differ..

i guess exeter and andover are like penn and princeton

You're right. That's why Penn is dubbed the "Social Ivy".

No? YES.

Penn seems to take smart + real & fun, not just the geeks (no offence Harvard). The student body at penn just kicks azz, who we kidding?

(I hope i get in! I hope i get in! There's no place like Penn! There's no place like Penn!) lol

yea, i totally agree. which makes me sad b/c the more i'm on cc, the more i want to go to penn. especially when i go to the forums of the other ivies. not that i'm discrediting the others, but all they seem to talk about is academics/stats (tho there is a good amount of that here, it's not the only thing...like the random comment thread lol) and about how one is better than the other (mostly yale v. harvard) i just wish i'd found out about cc earlier so i could talk more about the people who attend penn in my why penn essay >_< o well...what's done is done and que sera sera ^.^

.. hello??

you forgot to click the heels of your pretty red shoes together..

jeeez.. youll never be good enough for penn.. why dont you try princeton.. and dont forget to take Wizard of Oz 101 while youre there..

oh damm.....is that what that means?

those who saw it can attest...it was done in short order but i mentioned CC (indirectly) in my pg 217 future retrospective (haha)

i wont have my new red shoes (which i am, seriously, gonna get in the mail----soccer boots ;)) for about 7 days......until then, i have no red footwear.

Princeton has such a limited course selection....they only have WofO as graduate study.

And I'd rather go to UM Missoula anyhoo

damn that princeton, wrecking us like they did

WHAT?!?

Princeton beat Penn? I thought Penn had one of the best fball teams in the Ivy League!

aww damn...

Princeton killed us today! That's not supposed to happen. But, about the student body...I chose Penn over Yale because of the students here.

Today really sucked. McDermott looked like he was still a little hurt and we could not capitalize on chances that we had (the unintentional onside kick, fumble from goal line stand... ) while Princeton did on our mistakes. It looks like Brown and Princeton will split the Ivy title. That really sucks!

That's ok. We'll get 'em all in Basketball...again!

I have a problem...
Like any other nerd, I want to be able to concentrate on my studies but have fun too. While the Quad is great for social get-togethers, how's the privacy?

the privacy is fine. i mean, its hard to not socialize. but my roommate is a cool kid who socializes enough and stuff, but he also works a ton and sleeps early. in fact hes sleeping right now, though everyone else in my hall is up and about

Of course we'll get them in basketball. But I want to beat them in everything! Especially at FF at our homoecoming... This is still really depressing.
