Housing Differences

I'm curious if anyone has a little analysis of what kind of people generally end up in each housing quad/what each quad is like?

Bump. Anyone know what sort of people usually end up in Mendehlson?

I believe I heard, during the open house, that Mendehlson is for Computer Science/Engineering students.

From experience, it has become mostly random since last year overcrowding. So, the people themselves are not different accross quads. I do think the majority of freshmen and sophomores are housed in kelly/roos and roth.

They put you in quads according to what you put down as your intended major.

No, they put you in quads based on how you ranked the different undergrad colleges in the new student prefs.

wdrmhbs is correct. It has NOTHING to do with major -- you can major in anything and live anywhere.

Chris

.... They said that you are put in based on which of the 6 colleges you got into. They said I need to dorm with other students in the Computer Engineering college. They also said I wouldn't be able to dorm with friends who were going into other undergrad colleges....

each college = quad
ie. college of human development is kelly quad
science and society is roth quad

most ppl get their top choice, but popular colleges [ie. sso] usually get filled up fast so you may get your 2nd or 3rd choice college.

its not a biggie and you can change dorms after your first year.

yeah I was trying to say what izzy said. =X......u can change after the first term if u can find someone that's willing to swap with you.
