For those starting at the University of Miami in January, 2023, I was wondering what plans you have for housing?
I’m heading to Miami this week in search of a nearby apartment complex for a 6 month lease. We don’t like our chances to get the limited supply of on-campus housing and the lead time for notifying us if we are in seems to be very short.
My D is a sophomore and was lucky enough to get on-campus housing both years. The spring admits last year mostly lived off-campus since there’s such a shortage of housing currently. There will be students who are transferring in the spring so there should be some housing but not a lot on-campus. Places like Red Roads and Thesis are very close to campus however most apartments are farther away. I’d find a realtor in coral gables to help with your search. Good luck!
