Where are the best resources to look for off-campus housing and roommates for a transfer student?

In case no one inboxed you about this- I recommend University Village, Kardon/Atlantic, or (opening next year) The View at Montgomery. These are student apartment buildings all on the East side/border of campus by the regional rail system, are close to campus and the campus police, and are very safe/walkable at all hours.

A list of those who have agreements with Temple (I think) are here: http://www.temple.edu/studentaffairs/housing/off-campus-living/local-apartments.asp (You’ll see 2 of the above complexes mentioned)

Here’s a link to The View, although my current roommate looked there and found the prices to be more expensive than UV: Seize your potential | LocaliQ;

When I was transferring, I also looked at Craigslist. (add “Temple” to your search, instead of ‘list’ check the ‘map’ version to get a spatial idea of where students will be clustering) & I wish I had known about www.padmapper.com which tells you rent prices and compares to others in the area.
