I'm planning on double-majoring in math & CS. I think I've narrowed it down to Foothill, but I'd like to know I'm not misinformed about some factors I'm considering.

1) Where are most freshman CS (61 series) & math classes? Would they be near Foothill?
2) How are the Foothill triples and quads? I'd rather not pay 17 k for doubles if I can avoid it, but I don't want to be squished into bunk beds either.
3) It's important to me to have people to talk about classes with. What would be the best dorm if I just want people who are "normal" social (like willing to work on HW together, etc.) as opposed to "party hard" social?
4) Given the fact that I'll be studying most of the time, would the units be a bigger distraction compared to Foothill?

Any other suggestions/criticisms welcome :P

CS61A is always (so far) held at Pimentel (which is near Foothill). Your lab/discussion will most likely be at Soda Hall & Evans (both close at Foothill).

No idea, but just pick the cheapest option.

It’ll be fine. Just talk to your classmates in discussion/lab who are willing to work together with you. You’ll easily find people at your dorm as well.

4) Given the fact that I’ll be studying most of the time, would the units be a bigger distraction compared to Foothill?
Foothill tends to be a bit more quiet compared to the units. However, most people prefer the units after a year at Foothill. But if you’re CS + into studying, Foothill will be fine. You can easily study on the units as well, so I doubt it’ll be a big difference (unless you’re extremely sensitive to noise).

Hope that helped ;).
