Hey everybody,

I will probably live in Bursley hall next year (North campus), however I am enrolled in the LSA, recisely the Comprehensive studies program which are both in the Central Campus. I would want to know if living and studying in two different campus will be hard ? Maybe the distance is too long or whatever I just would want to have some informations from people who lived this situation

Thank you !

Nothing to worry about. North Campus is a short ride to Central Campus and there are very frequent buses designed to take you between the campuses. My daughter has lived on Central and attended class on North for two years with no problem and this year she will be living on North for the first time, when many of her activities are on Central. It is very common.

it’s inconvenient at times, but it’s nothing to worry about. most of the freshman on north are in lsa, so you’re not alone.

Thank you for your answers, Im kind of relieved, I was really worried ! Guess I wont have to swap my room then !

Just went on a tour - our tour guide lived in North Campus her first year and loved it. She said the shuttles made it easy and she would recommend it. She loved her dorm on North campus - can’t remember which one, but said they tend to be larger rooms.

The buses suck, and living on central campus is definitely preferable, but the food is nice, the rooms are larger than Markley, and the buses run frequently for classes.

when there are no classes (weekends and after 8 on weekdays) it becomes a different story, especially in winter.

andre - the busses don’t run after 8? We heard they run through 2 am.

andre was referring to the fact that they run less often – maybe once every 15-20 minutes to north. they do run really late, though; definitely until at least 2am
