Essays don't matter for getting into res colleges. You'll get in.

I liked living in CCI this year. I lived on the first floor so my room was gigantic. We also had nice facilities. The only bad thing about it was that I am a Film major and everyone there was science and engineering, so it was far from my classes, far from club meetings, and I didn't live with anyone in any of my classes so it was hard to get help from fellow students (even just to find out what the homework was) and harder to make friends. If you are artsy it is a lot easier to be on South Campus, if you are sciency you want to be up North. Being by SPAC was nice too, but I almost never had time to go. I think I went a total of 8 times during the year because I was always too busy with work.

As far as ending up in places like CCI, they put you in them because they are less popular on housing applications, so they try to even out the numbers. Willard is always a number one choice among students, and they had extra rooms this year, but they didn't fill it up, they want to balance out the number of people in each dorm.
