Housing Recommendations

Hi! I'm trying to fill out my housing application right now, but I'm unsure of which halls would be best. I'm going to be a freshman this fall and I was thinking Frontier as my first choice maybe? I'm not going to be in an LLC or anything so that isn't a factor. After Frontier I'm not sure what other halls would be good. I was thinking Territorial but I've been hearing negative things about it recently so I'm not sure. I want to be in a central location on campus. I want a social hall, but not like one with tons of huge parties. What about Comstock or Pioneer? Also, CLA is the college I'm in so I don't know if that would be a factor. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

We have slightly different but mostly similar needs, and you might find the answers to my thread helpful - if you haven’t read it already: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-minnesota-twin-cities/1067768-housing-s.html

Frontier definitely seems like the best.

Does it matter where you live if you’re in CLA? I really want a quiet place. Recommendations?

^Middlebrook is widely considered to be the quietest dorm overall (there are probably quiet floors and areas in all the dorms though). A downside for some regarding Middlebrook would be that it’s on the West Bank and a 10 minute or so walk from many of the classroom buildings on the East Bank. Depends on what’s most important to you.

Thank you. Is there a quiet or non-party (or not too much) closer? Thanks.

^ Comstock. Our D1 currently resides there and says its a relatively quite dorm. She currently has a class on all three campuses this semester and this dorm’s location works well with her class schedule.
