Housing: Singles

I'm just wonderin' :How easy is it 2 get a single in Sixth college?(I had completed the 1st housin' apllication pretty late, around 27th May).Do I have a chance?

I am not sure about Sixth (I don't even know if the housing policies differ from college to college) but I think the deal with singles is priority to the kids who actually need a single (i.e. they have a disorder, etc).

This is the part I really stick a disclaimer on. I heard that you can't randomly get a single, unless you paid the extra $500 for it (did you?) already. That there is more than enough demand for single rooms.

Thnx Syneria.........ne1 else with info?

I don't know about Sixth, but I know that I'm guaranteed a Single at ERC. I was given it because I turned in my housing application, back in March, early. So I believe it depends on how early you turned that application in.

Uh oh......I turned mine in pretty l8(27 march).........did they actually tell u that ur single is confirmed?

March 27th is pretty early... the deadline was May 3rd. Most people are in the April-May zone.

Yeah, they showed me their housing list and it said "Single" next to my name. I turned my application in on March 23.

Double Uh oh........I mixed up the months........I just remeber that the deadline was on the 4th of some month n I turned it in on the 27th of the previous month......that gives me a slim chance rite?

Well, it depends on how many Sixth students turned their's in before yours and if they chose a preference for "Singles". I doubt it because most freshmen enter college wanting to have a roommate for social purposes.

IGotIn!,

how did you see the housing list?

I talked with the "ResLife" people (I believe that's what they're called). I requested for an apartment, so they brought out their list and checked what they had for me before that.
