khatchup, you might want to list your roommate request over on anteaterforum.com as well...

I'm confused on the roommate dorm assignments. When I went online to select my dorms it asks your preferences to your roommate. It only asks me if I woke up early or late and smoker or nonsmoker. I thought there was a lot more questions to help find the best roommate for you. Was there an additional set of questions that i was supposed to answers? ie: type of music, sports, etc.
Does anyone know when roommate assignments will be mailed or notified?
thanks

nuwin:

No, they don't have that.

They should.

Does Mesa Court have coed dorms?
By coed I mean can male and female live within the same theme hall but maybe separated to as Single gender on left side of building and vice versa? Not sharing the same bathrooms of course?
Or is it just a single gender for an entire hall?

^^ im pretty sure its coed dorms....

well, i hope i'm not beating a dead horse by posting in this thread, and i couldn't find the answer anywhere else.... What do you all think about the microfridge rental program? ALSO at what point do we pay for housing etc.? Thanks for any answers

^^ the microfridge rental program I feel is relatively expensive; personally buy and toss might be cheaper but if you live further away it's nice to have less stuff to take back home. housing is due sometime in october, sometime in january, and sometime in april (i think the 15th or so) for the dorms and like first day of month for arroyo vista and campus village. it might be nice to double check on the uci housing website though.

Thanks for the reply greensam88, so i'd be in fact paying for my housing after I already moved in for fall quarter?

mesa commons is terrible.

that's about my only gripe about mesa besides the crappy bathrooms in the older generation mesa dorms. the newer mesa dorms are a lot nicer.

if i had to to do it again, i'd probably take mesa over me again. really though, both are fine.

im wondering if some mesa halls are 3 stories..

Hi, I just got the room assignment in the mail and I'm in
Sierra of MC. During Spop, I was in Cumbre and I thought the bathroom/shower was pretty bad, and I heard that there were different
phases in MesaCourt and the newer phase buildings had nicer bath/showers.
I was wondering which ones were the newer phase buildings and which ones
are the older ones? ...I was looking at the uci housing site and realized that
sierra's rooms are smaller than the other buildings, so I have this feeling that
it's one of the older ones? ...ahh. also, if anyone's experienced Sierra before,
plz tell me about how it was and just general heads up. thanks!

@pandaxl0: im in nubes and its three stories

can someone tell me if we can still change dorms? i didn't get anything that i wanted. Will the housing office allow me to change dorms if available or swap with someone?

mine is 3 stories too.. and i think im in the third floor too! and i got a theme house that i never put on my list(?) o boy.. /end of rant

sry forgot to ask that are there elevators for the 3 stories halls?

How do you know how many floors there are?

I think i'm in one with 3 stories aswell. my room number is in the 300's.

I was hoping that wasn't the case. lol. I guess I'm on the third floor as well. sigh

Somehow I doubt there are elevators.
