I was just recently accepted off of the waitlist for admission to Stony, but now I've missed my housing deposit deadline. Am I guaranteed housing? If not, does anybody know anything about or has experienced the wait on the housing waitlist?

Update: Campus housing is currently unavailable for the Fall 2013 semester. Students who wish to be considered for campus housing should space become available must follow these steps:

Pay your $200 Housing Deposit. In SOLAR, go to “Campus Financial Services” and then “Account Summary/What Do I Owe” to submit a general payment of $200.

Contact the Bursar’s Office: E-mail Mara Green, University Bursar, at Mara.Green@stonybrook.edu and request that the general payment just submitted be applied as your campus housing deposit.
You will be contacted by the Department of Campus Residences if space becomes available.

Update: Campus housing is no longer available for the Fall 2013 semester. You may request a space on our campus residences wait list if you wish to be considered for campus housing should space become available.

I contacted Undergraduate Admissions, and they said that I was guaranteed housing upon paying my $200 to the Bursar. So, am I dorming on a space-available basis, or is it guaranteed? I’m getting different answers. :l
